The Bastrop Education Foundation Board consists of LOCAL volunteers who make a minimum 3-year commitment to serve on the committees and work on fundraising for the Foundation's programs. They are community members from all walks who care deeply about the education of the students of Bastrop Independent School District. Foundation committees also include non-Board members who want to contribute to the success of the grants or student and staff recognition programs.

The Foundation's work depends entirely on the commitment and donations of businesses and individuals who are dedicated to enhancing the power of education in building bright futures for Bastrop ISD students. We are deeply indebted to these donors for the critical role they play in securing this prospect.

The Foundation's mission is accomplished by the hard work of many community volunteers. Our annual Instructional Initiatives Grants are funded in 2 primary ways, through our Annual Fund Drive each Fall, and from the proceeds of the Annual Sportsmen's Banquet held on the last Saturday of January.  We are always looking for volunteers to help with these and any future events.

Interested non-Board member community individuals also serve on Foundation committees, assisting in the reading and evaluation of grant applications and participation at the annual Sportsman's Banquet.
