I come from a long line of educators, with my parents and members of my extended family having served as classroom teachers and administrators. I am the proud wife of 33 years to my husband, Stephen, and the mother of two boys, Mitchell (27) and Michael (25), and a recent grandmother with the arrival of our granddaughter, Stevie.
I earned my BBA in Marketing from Texas Woman’s University, BS in Education at Lamar University, as well as a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University.
After spending a few years in the classroom, I continued my career as an elementary assistant principal and then went on to become an elementary school principal, before taking on my most challenging and rewarding role as the mother of Mitchell and Michael.
Prior to moving to Bastrop from Southeast Texas in May 2024, I was an active real estate investor and property manager.
Stephen and I had the honor of chairing the 2024 Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas Foundation “La Soirée” Gala, which supported cancer programs and helped to create a new 43,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art radiation treatment center.
I am a weekly volunteer at the Children’s Advocacy Center and am excited to be a new member of the Bastrop Education Foundation Board.
